By registering to use MyFolia, you confirm that you have read the following, and that you agree to be bound by it.
So, without too much ado - here are our terms (without, we hope, too much legal mumbo-jumbo):
We promise never to pass your personal information to anyone else, except if legally obliged to do so under British or European law.
We will never send you advertisements for other companies, unless you specifically and explicitly tell us to. We could never really live with ourselves if we did.
We may, from time to time, email you to tell you about new services we have launched or to notify you of important changes to your MyFolia account. We promise to keep the number of information emails to a minimum.
Apart from your own submissions, you must not forward or reproduce in any way – electronic or manual – any material from MyFolia without also including a credit to MyFolia and a link to the source page at www.myfolia.com. We reserve the right to seek an appropriate legal remedy if you breach any part of this agreement.
You agree to use MyFolia only for lawful purposes, and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of MyFolia. Prohibited behaviour includes harassing or causing distress or inconvenience to any person, transmitting obscene or offensive content or disrupting the normal flow of dialogue within MyFolia.
It is your responsibility to abide by your own local laws for the growing, harvesting and transportation of any plant you list on MyFolia.
When seed swapping, please ensure that you are familiar with any relevant laws for posting or sending seeds and plant matter in the destination state or country.
We reserve the right to cancel your membership of MyFolia at any time, for any reason. But we’ll only do it if you've been really naughty.
Nothing in this agreement affects your statutory rights. E&OE.
The House Rules
To make sure that everyone plays fair and that we all get along, we have a couple of basic guidelines that we'd like you to be aware of and follow:
- Advertising and Promotion is not permitted in any user generated content (e.g. Gardens, Plantings, Journals etc.).
- All contributions must be civil and tasteful. What this means exactly will be continually determined by the MyFolia community, not by us. We will also make sure that it is the wish of the majority and not of the minority in making any judgement calls.
- No disruptive, offensive or abusive behaviour: contributions must be constructive and polite, not mean-spirited or contributed with the intention of causing trouble.
- No spamming. You know what that means.
- No impersonation.
If you breach any of these rules, we will most likely send you a friendly message explaining why. We may also temporarily make any content in question inactive until we can sort the matter out with you. We will always give you a chance to edit and make amends.
