We recently moved to Adelaide, having bought a house in the hills with a steep slope. We have 850m2 that was fully landscaped prior to the introduction of water restrictions with a pop-up watering system that is now pretty much useless. We are planning to gradually change all the gardens into vege patches and drought tolerant native gardens. We have 2 young children, so progress will be slow, but we also hope that our garden will be a ‘work in progress’ throughout their childhood.

The main focus of our front yard used to be a large circular rose garden. We removed most of the rose bushes and have turned it into a vegie garden.

I love to grow
Australian natives, especially the huge range of grevilleas. We are having fun learning about growing vegetables by trial and error!
