I got some hybrid iris tubers from a friend about 5 years ago. They continue to multiply each year, but of about 40 plants only 5 ever bloom (the same five each year.) They get afternoon sun. Should I fertilize? and with what kind of fertilizer? Or what else could be wrong with them? I live in zone 3-4 in Minnesota.

I planted Nasturtium “Tangerine Dream” on April 20th in peat pots. Trying to give them a head start. Also planted double hollyhock seeds, mixed colors. I started 2 waterlilies icecream pails full of water. Last summer my waterlily did not bloom because I planted it too late in the spring. One of the lily plants had mold on it. I should have returned it, but I will see if it sprouts.

Lupin Lazy Lupins
I have had these lupins for a quite a few years. They do not bloom much and I have spread the seeds all over and they don’t seem to sprout. I would really like them to spread more.
