Snap Pea Fruiting: Mmmm fresh peas
My sugar snap peas are starting to produce! I get a good couple handfuls every day. They are delicioussss! Last night I added them to a Pasta Pimavera that I made, they were great in that, along with some farmer market local baby summer squash and local hot house peppers.

Raspberry Bush Fruiting: First Raspberries of the Season!
The fruit on my volunteer raspberry bush are starting to ripen! I have to thank the honey bees for this, as they were the major pollinators of this bush. When it was blooming it was just covered in honey bees, which was a very nice sight to see since honey bees are sadly becoming quite rare.

Cylindra Beet Thinned the beets today, found some volunteer tomatoes, and made a salad!
While I was thinning the beets today I noticed a ton of little tomato seedlings coming up… I guess from all the tomatoes that fell down and I didn’t clean up last year. I potted some of them up and I’ll try to get them a bit bigger inside, then put them back outside… although it’s pretty late in the season, so I’m not sure how they will do.
I used the thinned beets in a salad with dinner, it was delicious! Beet microgreens, lettuce and pansies, all lightly dressed with a salad dressing I made with local honey, organic lemon juice and olive oil.
