Peppermint Dying Down: Moderate growth
I probably should have watered this more, but as it was in a container and didn’t have drain holes, i didn’t want to chance it. The growth was a bit slow, whereas last year i had lots of mint to harvest, this year I didn’t have as much (different container & different location might be the reason)

Astilbe Dying Down: still green, but starting to brown
seems to have been in a good spot. Leaves still look green and glossy, but some are starting to brown around the edges from the cold.
It’s in a foam pot in a sheltered location so I’m not going to do anything over the winter. I’ll see how it does….

Bleeding Heart (Pink) still nothing
The soil is quite wet so I decided to re-pot with some drier soil to avoid rotting the roots.
The roots seem ok, but there are no white spouts so it may not make it. I’ve re-potted with 1/2 original wet soil mixed with 1/2 fresh dry potting mix. I’ve moved it into a bare spot in the shade garden.
I hope it’s enough to get it moving. I guess if it doesn’t make it, it’s not the end of the world…. But it would be exciting if it comes up.
