Monkeys Garden's Sunny Balcony garden

I have two balconies, this one being the full sun summer balcony. I call it a summer balcony, as during the winter the wind whips along that face of the building and has succeeded in killing any plant I have tried to overwinter there, either through cold, drying out or wind damage. In the summer is gets full sun all day long and is where I grow annuals and any fun plants that need extra attention (it sits outside my office window, so I can watch over them all day long if need be).
