Lispet's Frontyard garden
This yard was pretty blah when I first moved in: some narrow beds sitting underneath the eaves, and a Saskatchewan shaped grave-bed cut into the middle of the yard. Pressure treated wood lined every bed with nothing more to keep the grass from moving in. That first summer I hauled in 12 yards of good dirt, sloped the grade appropriately and filled in the grave. I cut out a nice border, transplanted the pagoda dogwood, and removed (by hand!) the sad, unkempt dogwoods planted under the eaves in the front.
I snagged some of the existing perennials from the backyard to fill in some of the emptiness out front. Now, there’s several tulips, lots of woolly thyme, campanula perscifolia, assorted lilies, and daylilies.
Lispet's Frontyard garden does not have any plants yet.
