Kelly's 2008 Vegetable garden

The first parsnip harvest! My lord was it ever the best parsnip I had in my life too. Next year I’m growing a ton more of these.

Well, the delicata this year was a rousing failure as it didn’t set fruit at all. One little melon started and then fell off immediately, and just now do a see its second female flower coming out. Of course with the season coming to an end now, and the entire plant dying down I won’t even get one little squash.

Oh well, next year I’ll hope for much more from this plant.

And I had so much success with it last year!

Here’s hoping next years season is much better than this one.

No more bush beans this year. The plants are dying down.

I harvested the mystery pepper – turns out indeed it was a banana pepper. Strange how things like that happen (getting a banana pepper from the pile of red ruffled seeds).

The beginning of the harvest for this variety. I’ll have a bunch more in a week or so as well.

Harvesting again. There’ll be even more in a few weeks.

Getting some nice little yellow flowers now from the lettuce. I’m glad I let it go to bolt. Plus I’ll get some seeds for next year!
