Ideoplast's Vegetable garden
Random assortment of starter plants and direct seeded buddies. Successful tomatoes of all kinds coming up in the back box, a couple of sad peppers and a confusing eggplant share the territory with three good rows of onions in the second box. The front left box is doing little but providing a nursery for weeds and a, thankfully, thriving row of li’l cilantro plants [ had sown basil, oregano, lavender and sage seeds … nothing from those teams yet … if ever? when do I surrender and try something new?]. Front right box has healthy baby broccoli, cauliflower and lettuce from seeds plus a few surprise shallots which didn’t do anything last year. On the fence I’ve started string beans, squash, pumpkins and okra – all from seed. The okra are the only seedlings I’m not familiar with by sight, so that patch is a little weedy at present. Finally, my side yard is thriving with garlic — finally! Three years and I finally found a good spot for the little guys.
Need to spend some time (this weekend?) applying fertilizer. Yummy.
