20-20-20 (slighty green in color, powder)

Office What does "thinning" mean?

Don’t laugh! I love gardening but I’m an absolute newbie.
My garden books say I must thin my seedlings… what does that mean? Pluck them? Why plant seeds when I’ve to pluck them out?

What happens if I sow too closely like in this picture? I have peppermint, chili, bell peppers, and Basil. Would they die if they don’t have enough space?

Lettuce Sprouting: Why are they taking sooo long? More than two months!!

How long does lettuce take to become lettuce!
It has been over two months and it is still ‘sprouting’??

Is this normal? Please take a look at the photos i just uploaded.

So i’ve sown the seeds almost a week ago and i am very happy with the first signs of sprouting. but is lettuce supposed to look like this? long thin sprouts with a tiny leaf?
