Finny's Vegetables 08 garden
These are the four beds I planted this year.
Bed 1 is labeled with mouse overs in Flickr, but has sweet basil, Better Boy Tomatoes and nasturtium.
Bed 2 has lemon basil, cinnamon basil, Thai basil, purple ruffles basil, a volunteer pumpkin of some variety, a Midget Melon cantaloupe and nasturtium. The squash seen here has since been ripped the hell out due to infestations of awful squash beetles.
Bed 3 has two pickling cucumbers, borage and strawberries.
Bed 4 has radishes, beets, ugly marigolds, black-seeded simpson lettuce, Jalapa jalapenos, Yolo Wonder bell peppers and Blue Lake string beans.

Your garden is very pretty. I’m sorry to hear about the squash – it looks like everything else is doing well though!

Your garden is looking good! I am a beginner gardener, also in San Jose. I hope my garden starts to multiply as well as yours!

My wife and I noticed that you planted most of your spring vegetables on March 9. We usually do it at the end of March. Did you have good results, or was it too early.
For example, we also planted Yolo Wonder bell peppers, but not until much later. We thought that they were the best we had ever done, but you were very unhappy, so we are curious about your planting date, and your results.
