Jodee's Under the Oaks garden

The shadiest are of my yard. I had about a half dozen black cherry trees lining the drive taken down and added a service berry near the porch. I transplanted the plain green hostas from the courtyard garden and am slowly adding mulch and getting rid of grass.

This area had two things going for it when I bought the house in 2007, a lot of beautiful eastern redbuds and a large area of bright red/orange oriental poppies which bloom profusely in the spring. Otherwise, it was all weeds, poison ivy and english ivy.
