Studying the characteristics of flowers close up can be almost breathtaking. The true colours cannot always be captured by camera and the structure has obviously been created to accommodate the insects that pollinate.The Salvia in the second picture looks like something designed by Brunel whilst the Pansy is such a deep red, almost brown, created by man yet the flower is such a simple design.
