Knowlesie's Large Trees garden

Created on Saturday, 09 Aug 08

I have a number of large tree’s standing sentry to my garden (1)rear left standing between my neighbour and I a Yew tree (Taxus Bacata)and to her right a Ginkgo biloba, these trees are believed to be one if not the oldest species on the planet. (2) The Oak tree, I think this is a Turkish Oak, I spend a lot of time clearing up after this lady. Next (3) another Yew, this is the male and produces pollen by the bucket full for his lady friend. My estimation is that he is about 400 years old and his girlfriend about 50 years older. The final two pics are of the Ginkgo (4) summer and (5) in autumn colour, it is a beautiful majestic tree that stands around 60 feet plus…anybody want to swap an Acer for the Oak please?
