Calephetos's Parent's Patio garden
While in the South-East visiting my father in hospital on a recent relapse in April, I took in a little displacement activity by doing what I always do: I made bread and then bought compost, plants and tools and sorted out my mother’s garden, which I’ve not touched since I was 17 and still living there.
The brocolli apparently, has produced then died off, the tomatoes are tomato-ing, and this garden is notable in that there are, according to my mum, “Nasturtiums everywhere!” and they are the first I’ve ever been able to grow. Generally, they hide inside their seed casings until they’re sure I’ve lost interest and then get eaten by slugs I think. I daren’t ask whether the curcubits are still going. I suspect not…
