Frontyard Beech tree short back and sides...

    Overcast 15°C / 59°F

Have spent the gloriously sunny weekend with us all giving the beech trees a good tidy up. Boys very keen as they have just watched ‘Axe Men’ series. Lots more light. The grass might grow again from where the camp was in the summer. Used some of the smaller twigs to make insect houses with the boys. Will add photo later.
Just clearing up and found a packet of forget-me-not seeds, which I had forgotten where I had put…. Wondering if it’s too late to sow them now with the bulbs.

Blue Iris Flowering: still flowering this year...

    Overcast 21°C / 70°F

After spliting these up last year and giving some away I wasn’t sure how many flowers I’d get this year but they’ve flowered really well.

    Frontyard Flowers are blooming...

    Overcast 18°C / 64°F

Over the last week – the white and blue irises are going to coincide this year. Cleared down the old daffodil leaves and trimmed back the most unruly bits of the beech. Plus cut back the winter jasmine. Need to make a decision as to what to do with the passion flower vine, now beginning to swamp the gate. Roses looking quite good.
