    Frontyard Woodland Temporary Paths

    Cloudy 11°C / 52°F

I’ve put down a bunch of cardboard as paths. This is to keep walking to a minimum on the garden part. Eventually, we’ll get down some stones and low ground covers to walk on.

Sweet Woodruff Transplanted: And I'm Spent

    Overcast 11°C / 51°F

I’ve been moving these from backyard to frontyard for the last month. I’d estimate that, total, I’ve transplanted over 300 of these.

They seem very hardy and easy to divide. There were only about 3 or 4 plants total that didn’t survive the move.

I also set this zone to water every other day for a week or two so that helped.

    Fairies' Thimbles A Little Trauma

    Overcast 23°C / 74°F

Last night my dad pulled out one of the fitzer (?) bushes using a heavy chain and his truck. It was awesome! Unfortunately, he sort of drug the stump across where this little guy was planted. This morning, I noticed it had been pulled up and drug a couple of feet. I’ve put it back in, we’ll see if it survives.

    Frontyard Woodland Mother's Day Planting

    Sunny 26°C / 78°F

I’ve spent most of the day transplanting plants from both the garden center and those from the backyard. I have many more from the backyard (sweet woodruff) to move still. Hopefully will get them all done within the week. We’ll see.

Am also leaving certain areas open for the buttercups that Jimi is giving me (sometime in the next week or two).

It’s supposed to snow in a couple of days, so I’m leaving a good amount of the leaves down as mulch. It looks so much better pulled back, but I think it’ll be worth leaving it (for the protection).
