Nic's The Strawberry Patch garden

I noticed a couple of aphids on both strawberries a couple of days ago, so I brewed up some crushed garlic and dishwashing liquid in a jar and sat it in the sun for a couple of days. I sprayed the resulting icky smelling liquid on both containers this morning – that should hopefully hold off the aphid attack for a while.

Now to figure out how to get the garlicky smell off my hands….

Over the weekend, I finally got the time to start organising and cleaning up the strawberry patch – I thought it was a good time now that the weather seems to be warming up a bit.

I had some rather sad looking rocket from last year still clinging on in the middle of the Cambridges – I pulled that all up, cleaned up the dead strawberry leaves and gave it a good water with a bit of seaweed mixture.
