iechris added aluminum sulfate to the hydrangeas

Monday, 16 Jun 08 (posted about 7 months ago) Sunny 33°C / 92°F

Last night I had a bit of spare time in the garden, so I added aluminum sulfate to some of my hydrangeas. All the back yard ES, Gentian Dome, in pot Together and the Penny Macs all got some. This time I used a slightly stronger concentration, 2 tbsp per gallon and also used warm water as had been recommended. I’m hoping that the new potted ES might get enough to bloom blue later in the season, as ES #3 is currently blooming pink. And, in case Together reblooms as advertised, I want it to bloom blue again.
