Seedling update
I started my tomatoes too early. They’re going to be busting out of their containers by the time I can plant them. Well, I actually mean that they’ll be sadly large, because I do plan to re-pot them and hike the grow lights up to accommodate their new height. I’ll be planting them deeply, thank you very much. The leaves look a little sad now, though. They almost seem variegated with the yellow that is mottling them. It’s troubling me a bit.
The peppers are almost all germinated, and it will be fun to see which varieties they end up being.
Yesterday I began cilantro, basil, and eggplant and then also more ground cherries inside, since the last ones didn’t germinate at all.
Finally, direct sowing: I have peas up, radishes up, romaine up and possibly rutabagas. Yet to germinate are: carrots, other radishes, fava beans, beets, grand rapids lettuce and….I can’t remember. That’s what surprises are for!
Can’t wait….
