And they do sound beautiful. I had not reckoned on them being so big though. These are Woodstock chimes ‘Neptune’, as deep toned as I could get. Just for Trisha, and anyone else who is curious, the following link is to an mp3 of a set of these – http://www.themusichouse.com/musi...This entry is about Happibun's Littlest's scrabbling patch, Bunlett's pot, and my Mediterranean garden.

Sprouting: The last remaining bastard offspring of the late lamented Buddleja
Well, it’s a bit more than germination, but it’s not a tree yet. This is obviously a volunteer from the late Buddleja tree. It is growing in the passageway between my house and the down wind neighbour, in their wall I hasten to add. In some way I would love to be able to prize it out ...This entry is about Happibun's Great big Buddleja tree (in memorium) Jul 97 - Oct 07 in the zen contemplation - great composter in the sky garden.

Fruiting: Oh my gosh! We will have tomatoes!
There are two tiny baby tomatoes growing where the first two flowers were on Littlest’s Tumbling Tom tomato plant. They are still teeny weeny, but there none the less. This entry is about Happibun's Littlest's tomato plant in the Bunlett's Strawberry pot garden.

Fixed the People's Republic of China's wall.
Wow! That was a big job, bit it could have been worse. The wire fence that runs along the south wall of my garden was getting rather wobbly. The whole thing needed tightening up because it is supporting a large honeysuckle, 3 smaller clematis plants and a climbing rose. The fence runs for 5 meter...This entry is about Happibun's 2. Tiny Secret Back garden.

I was not kidding when I said I would build a pergola. I want to replace the shade that the tree cast before it was cut down, but did not want to plant another tree. Climbers are the answer, and that means building a structure though I am unsure if technically it really is a pergola. I am up to p...This entry is about Happibun's Littlest's scrabbling patch, Bunlett's pot, and my Mediterranean garden.

I don’t really know if calling it a pergola is the right thing, but it is not an arch, and pergola has kind of stuck. Now all it needs is the climbers to populate it. I suppose it is going to look rather rough for a couple of years until it is covered, but once it is, it will be solid for a...This entry is about Happibun's Littlest's scrabbling patch, Bunlett's pot, and my Mediterranean garden.

The forlorn lawn is gorn (well mostly)
Well a bit more of it is. I’ve been using my bank holiday Monday usefully shifting 2 tons of soil out of the ex lawn – by hand I might add – in readiness for the layer of hardcore that will serve as a base for the patio. The next big thing is to work out a kind of level for the ...This entry is about Happibun's 2. Tiny Secret Back garden.

Time for a rethink of Valhalla
And this plant is one that I will have to think hard about. I actually like it a lot even though it can be an utter pest. It is very invasive, and so far I’ve mostly kept it in check. However, this year it has escaped in to the neighbour’s garden, and my non lawn. What I like about it...This entry is about Happibun's ever so invasive chamelion plant in the Valhalla garden.

Day 74
The yellow pansies are a bit shy
I don’t know if these are ailing, or if they were an earlier flowering variety than the purple ones that we planted alongside them, and that they are going in to dormancy. I’ve not seen a yellow bloom for ages, and when I had a closer look, the yellow pansy plants don’t seem to ...This entry is about Happibun's Littlest's Pansies F1 hybrid (Mariposa Yellow Blotch) in the zen contemplation - great composter in the sky garden.

Day 74
Flowering: The strawberry plants are finally shooting off
I thought we were going to fail with these, but after the spell of hot dry weather and the judicious use of a jug of water, the plants have bushed out, and some of them are showing flowers at last. This entry is about Happibun's Strawberry plants in the Bunlett's Strawberry pot garden.
