gubeedal Chili!

Monday, 28 Jul 08 (posted about 5 months ago) Cloudy 29°C / 84°F

We made chili yesterday. It was awesome. all of the produce used was organically grown in gardens! we used:

tomatoes that were canned from my parent’s garden last year.

green pepper, banana peppers jalapenos and oregano from my garden.

Sweet onion from Matt’s dad’s neighbor’s garden (delicious!).

Ground Beef from a local farm raised cow (my uncle’s neighbor’s cow actually)

The only thing store bought was the chili powder and coumin added. :)

It was DELICIOUS and almost completely locally grown and organic.

We also had some sweet corn and watermelon we quite literally got from a farm that morning. Can’t get more fresh than straight off the farm!!
