hstupno Flowering: Rescued Blooms

I, of course, spoke too soon in my previous post for this planting about the Japanese Beetles. They have discovered this plant en mass!!

However, there are some bright spots. There is so much too choose from, they haven’t got ALL of the blooms and after the 1st bloom, I trimmed one stem back quite deeply on the stem and for this 2nd bloom the stem is EXTREMLY healthy and strong…more so than any other. I guess I’m still learning about this particular variety and it has just done so well in my garden.
