kelly Romain Lettuce: Bolting

Monday, 18 Aug 08 (posted about 5 months ago) Overcast 34°C / 93°F Happy

Well, it’s finally occurred, with the hot weather the way it is and whatnot, the romaine lettuce has bolted. That’s okay, I’m not a huge fan of romaine anyway, and planted it primarily as filler on a whim (although it has served us very nicely for burritos this summer).

I’m going to leave it in and let it bolt and seed. I’ll save the seeds for next year, and I like the look of it bolting anyhow.
