Hot water bottles for cold little seeds
On the fabulous advice of Aussie gardening guru Peter Cundall I have sent my tomato, eggplant & capsicum seedlings to bed with hot water bottles. Or rather, I’ve placed hot water bottles full of hot water, then wrapped in tea-towels, underneath the seedling trays. I don’t have anything lying around to act as a greenhouse at this point, so I’m hoping the warmth from the hot water bottles will be enough.
Hopefully I’ll have the time & capacity to re-fill the bottles with hot water twice a day for the next few days, and we’ll see if that encourages germination any.
