catch-up
Photos: This is one of two hemerocallis which I have only just been able to identify as they haven’t bloomed before. It must be ‘Peaceful Prairie’ “blooms late season; pastel orange-pink, fragrant”. By default the other which has not bloomed yet is ‘New Tangerine Twist’. They were planted in 2005 but I think that the position was too shady. I moved them to a more sunny position in Drive bed last year or the year before. Hopefully now one has bloomed the other will start next year. It is a mid-season bloomer, ruffled tangerine-orange.
The space opened up by cutting 3 canes off the Rosa glauca.
Buddleia davidii ’Potter’s Purple’, a year’s slow growth, next year hopefully it will really get going.
This morning’s harvest of potatoes and tomatoes. This evening I picked runner beans, a little zucc, 2 eggplants and some delicious alpine strawberries.
A very low growing sedum, maybe ‘Rosy Glow’. It was a snip from a parent plant and really likes the position it is in; unlike the parent plant it is blooming.
