Transplanted: Transplanted Premature Seedlings
I made the mistake of planting all the seeds in the packet into a small container. Unexpectedly, almost all the seeds germinated, so I had to transplant them out into boxes even though they were only 2 weeks old. We got a couple of boxes from the weekend market which we get for free for lugging home our groceries. I lined each box with garbage bags and scattered styrofoam peanuts and other broken up styrofoam into the bottom. I then filled it up with potting mix and watered it well. I dribbled little holes into the mix with a Q-tip and carefully transplanted the seedlings, spacing them out about an inch apart. So far, it looks like the seedlings survived the transplant. After shifting about 100 seedlings or so, there are still many seedlings left in the original container that I can’t bear to throw away. I’ll just leave them there and see how far they continue to grow.
