Color choices

One of the nine Jethro Tull Coreopsis was in bloom when I bought them. So, I snipped off a flower and checked it against a couple of the sweet peas to check color contrast. I’m thinking a purple or blue sweet pea would be best with this golden yellow flower. I’m just not sure yet whether to go for the darker color or the lighter. And I didn’t have a nice blue to contrast it with.

Well, I still have time to make up my mind. Then I need to start thinking what color for the trailing plants in the foreground. What goes with gold and purple/blue? When I was done, I stuck the bloom in with a little leftover parsley on the kitchen window.
