rainymountain the last currants

Thursday, 28 Aug 08 (posted about 3 months ago) Rainy 15°C / 59°F

The family’s vegetable garden is loaded with produce and I was given some zucchinis which did come from plants that I grew from seed. I thought I would see if there were any raspberries left, a bare handful only but I did pick almost a quart bowl of blackcurrants, a few gooseberries and some gooscurrants. So that was rather cheering picking blackcurrants with the marvellous smell of currant leaves in my nose on a grey, dank day.
