glittertrash Fruiting: I am an idiot

Sunday, 31 Aug 08 (posted about 4 months ago) Cloudy 16°C / 61°F

This tree is covered in fruit. HEAPS of fruit, most of it in big clusters on high-up branches. If all of that fruit matures, we are going to be drowning in lemons by the time they ripen (summer, I’m imagining, since they’re swelling in size but still hard & dark green now at the end of winter).

It is possible that this tree isn’t in nearly as dire straits as I had imagined. I mean the soil isn’t ideal, the sun access isn’t ideal, it definitely needs a prune back, but you know what? It’s managing to produce fruit all on it’s own, without me doing anything to come in and save the day.
