Leftover Seedlings Still Going Strong
The seedlings leftover in the germinating milk carton container are still going strong, and have in fact grown to be about as big as those I spaced out in the big boxes. Wow, I’m totally impressed with these tough basil seedlings and highly recommend Yates mixed basil seeds (“guaranteed to grow”) to everyone. The seedlings in the big boxes are doing well too, although no signs of true leaves :( Oh well, at least they are growing taller. They are still sitting next to the windowsill as I dare not leave them outside, with all the creepy crawlies. The cool thing about placing them indoors is I know they are alive when they turn their leafy heads and face the sunlight coming through the windows. I turn the boxes every few days, so they’ve been turning their leafy heads left and right, which is causing the stem to be a bit crooked… dunno whether this is a cause for concern. Anyway, the other day some Jehovah’s witnesses knocked on our door and they were a bit amused with my indoor herb “farm”… teehee.
