Tonya Blackbirds digging up the seedlings!!

Monday, 08 Sep 08 (posted about 3 months ago) Overcast 16°C / 61°F

I went out to the vegie bed this afternoon and found that blackbirds had dug up most of the daikon seedlings and some of the beetroot and radish seedlings. Frustrating! I have read that sprinkling blood and bone around may deter them so I spread some around where I have planted seeds in the garden.

Birds can be frustrating. Mynahs ate up my curry-leaf berries, leaving nothing else behind. I have read hanging a string of used CDs might help.
