Garden(s) in brief hiatus.
I am right now typing on my husband’s laptop, in a quiet hotel room in Kowloon, Hong Kong. Yes, I am on vacation. :)
My gardens are under the temporary care of my neighbor who is probably going to ask her domestic help to water the plants. Call me protective – but I am worried to bits. I have my Malabar spinach babies growing and a couple of new plants settling in. From what I have seen from their gardening, I have to confess that I am a little concerned. One of their plants – sunflower – is totally covered in spider mite webs. And still left neglected. For me, I would have discarded the plant promptly and cleaned the pot. But nope, the (ex) sunflower is still there, obviously abandoned. Yesterday, I saw that it was watered (!!!) Shouldn’t that ring alarm bells (klaxon bells, ala Star Trek red alert)?!
Okay, I am taking a leap of faith here. Just hope…pray… that my plants do not resemble said sunflower when I return on Sunday night.
I am off to bed, sending good thoughts to my plants. :)
