Day 62
Dying: Not happening...
I took the hint after the seed started going mouldy that this experiement wasn’t going anywhere and have finally thrown it out. It is starting to warm up, and spring is definitely arriving. All the fruit trees are budding up or in flower, and many of the spring bulbs are flowering including daffodils, miniature daffodils, jonquils, spring star flowers, and grape hyancinths. Budding: sprayed for peach leaf curl
Last year the peach tree got peach leaf curl and most of the fruit dropped while it was still underripe, so this year I thought I would spray for peach leaf curl. I sprayed the second week of August, just as the buds were appearing. This entry is about Tonya's Peach in the Vegetable garden.

I was watching gardening australia the other day, and they said to prune the red stemmed dogwood back to the ground at the end of winter each year to promote lots more red stems the next winter. Only the new stems are the brilliant scarlet colour. This entry is about Tonya's Red stemmed dogwood in the Container garden.

Day 27
Oriental Vegetables said that I should nip out growing points to encourage branching. I won’t have enough nippings to make a stir fry, so I’m really torn – should I just nip and make a tiny salad, or wait for more plants to be tall enough for nipping? This entry is about Soleil's Pea Shoots in the Backyard garden.
