I’ve planted tis in the ground by the shed (to the left of the daylilies) to try and fill in this bar spot.

Astilbe (Amethyst) - near shed did well

good foliage. seemed to die at 1 point due to heat and lack of water.
Thought it was dead and gave up but the rain revived it (despite my neglect) and it has several leaves again.

I will transplant this to the shade garden this weekend to try to keep it alive over the winter.

Doubled in size. The leaves are really sprouting right now!

Astilbe (Amethyst) - near shed Sprouting: new growth

Overcast 20°C / 68°F

leaves sprouting. Not sure why their sprouting on this one and not the 2 that are planted directly in the shade bed….
Oh well, I’m happy this one is growing.
