Pansies Getting a bit lanky
I should probably be paying them more attention, but the others have been stealing all of my time….

Pansies Seed heads!
I noticed seed heads on the weekend. I hope i still have time to take a picture.
They were strange looking tri-leaved things. I was a little worried at first because I’d never seen them before, but thankfully an image search pulled up a match. So hopefully my pansies will come back next year. I really love them. I’m trying to prune them back a bit so the stems don’t get too long, in the hopes that they remain stout enough to keep them coming back year over year.
I’ve heard they are perennial, except for the fact that the stems get too long, tangly and damaged. So maybe if i prune strategically I can keep them coming back.
And if not, perhaps the seed pods will help me out :-)note: This is not an available “growing event” but I think it should be.

Pansies Still gorgeous and smell divine!
I snipped a few to decorate a lemon bundt cake yesterday. Simple and beautiful amongst the powdered sugar.
I should have taken a picture… oh well. next time….This entry is about Crimsonsketch's Pansies planting in the Backyard - Shade garden

Pansies Veryy happy!
They were a bit droopy at transplanting, but they are quite perky now in both shade and partial shade.
And they smell wonderful!!This entry is about Crimsonsketch's Pansies planting in the Backyard - Shade garden
