Will not pull anymore this year

Still not ready for crumble “sigh” stems are still green…

The small stems of my timperly early are getting lost under my larger rhubarb – I have to wade through large leaves to find him, will have to move him elswhere later this year.. its almost ready for picking…yum.. crumble!

Removed the flower stalks from Rhubarb.

has my champagne gone… My rhubarb has started to poke through the mulch and silly me forgot that i wanted to move one of the crowns that was to near the path in Jan..There are two stems poking up so i had a little poke around under the mulch for the third crown near the path but i couldnt find it.How can i not find it! looks like ill have to move it next year only this time ill make sure i mark the spot…

Removed the stems from my Rhubarb today and mulched the bed with compost.
The crowns were looking a bit strange (not that healthy looking) and there was a lot of wildlife under the leaves ? some sort of beetle! When i removed the stems they scattered..They looked like woodlice..Woodlice! under rhubarb? I need to look that up….The leaves were turning yellow so i thought its time to mulch for the winter. I hope they do come back ok next spring, only time will tell…

Seems to have got lost under the other rhubarb plants. Timperley has smaller stems almost pencil like “PLANTED TO CLOSE” Will move elsewhere in winter! (Jan)
