Iris

I think this is called a blackberry lily, although it is an iris. After they stop blooming the seed pods turn a deep shiny black color, shaped like blackberries. Of course, the foliage is evergreen. Blooms a log time. It was in the garden when I bought the house. I plan to leave it where it is.

I’ve never seen one this color. I have several Belamcanda chinensis, but they are orange. Beautiful.
