Hibiscus trionum

This annual flowering vine blooms quite nicely in part shade. It is climbing simple string. I like it because it’s a fast way to add height and color to shadier areas. The catalogs and seed packets never mention that this vine flowers well in the shade…I found this to be true by decades of trial and error. I started the vines in peat pots in my balcony coldframe.
