jane Jane's Herbacious Potentilla
Potentilla

This pretty red plant might even be classified as a grouncover. It would probably be invasive in a less hostile place, but it is reasonably well-behaved in this dry, poor soil. I’m not sure why the leaves look so green here. They are actually kind of a blue/grey/green color with white fuzz. It blooms for about a month. The leaves are plenty attractive when it’s not blooming.
