normanack Normanack's Daylily 'August Orange'
Hemerocallis

From Arrowhead Alpines in Fowlerville, Michigan. (You have got to read this guy’s catalog copy. It’s available as a pdf on the Arrowhead website.)

This delicate orange daylily blooms later than all the rest in my gardens, starting in early September and going on till late October. Of course, in this Siberian (Michigan) climate, the plant looks like hell by then, but any flower is welcome.

I’ve always loved August orange. The size of the bloom is so commanding with the semi spider sepals. Great shade of orange!!! Nice to see this flower being grown
