Day 245

spidra Spidra's Sloe 'Rossatz'
Prunus spinosa

I asked on the NAFEX (North American Fruit Explorers) list whether there were any improved sloe cultivars, particularly ones that didn’t sucker as much as I’d heard seedling sloes did. A member offered to send me some improved cultivars. Most people, including me, are shocked there is any such thing as an improved sloe cultivar!

These were sent to me via US Mail and they were a bit dry when they arrived so I’m worried that they won’t take. In addition to grafting two scions of each variety, I rooted one.
