Where does it grow?

These were dug out of the blackberry patch. Ron’s Dad threw a bunch in the compost pile probably thirty years ago (he passed away over twenty years ago) and the blackberry patch grew over the old compost pile.

Harvesting: Harvesting Elephant Garlic (Batch 2)
After pulling the Shallots and finding that the bulbs didn’t really form or rotted, I decided to pull out more Elephant Garlics to feel better. I feel better. Here’s the first harvest. One more plant remains in the garden.

This year I let the garlic flower, not sure that this is what you are supposed to do, but great flowers! Harvested Xmas 2007 and I will save about half to plant again, give away a quater and ear a quarter
