There were three Rhododendrons planted in a group in the center of the north side of the front yard when we moved here. They have obviosuly grown significantly over the 20 years we have lived here. This was first planted beside the arch but then I read that rhodo actually like sun rather than shade and thought perhaps its shady position was hampering its growth. I think there was a year when it did not flower too. So it sits above the north inset where it gets more sun but tends to get over...This entry is about Rainymountain's Rhododendron 'Wren' in the 9. Originally planted in Porch but it got very battered by snow shed so in 2007 I moved it to Drive, against the fence where it does seem to be thriving. Dogwood $7

Earlier flowering, died off a while back
This little bush was in flower when we moved in (Sept 24) lasting about 3 weeks – not so messy as it is smaller and I could deadhead it easily.This entry is about Fiona's White azalea in the Frontyard garden.
