The sage isn’t looking too awesome towards the end of winter- all the potted plants are still alive, but they’re looking very leggy & twiggy (a few leaves out the top of knobbly sticks). It’s time to gather seed from the Clary sage. It’s very simple, you just rub the bells of the dried flowers between your fingers while holding your other hand underneath. The seeds drop right into your hand. Anyone want sage next year?
