Setting Fruit: Teeny little beans growing out of the flowers
There are loads of bush beans covered in flowers in the backyard now, and many of them have these little needle-like baby beans coming out of them. Fresh green beans: not far off! I thought these were pole beans, and planted them around the base of a metal sculpture so they could climb, but a web search suggests they’re actually bush beans. I put some snake beans in as well so that they can do the climbing if these do in fact come up as bush beans. Climbing, gripping, ever-upwards... the race begins...
Oh I love it when pole beans finally get to the point of grabbing onto their support and begin their sprints upwards & upwards!
