Bought a conventionally grown (non-organic, non-heirloom/probably terminated) Sweet Mama red pepper plant just for fun.

Ripening: Capsicum reddening
The first mature capsicum on the plant I bought has started to have blushes of red and pink across its skin. I’m waiting for it to turn fully red before I harvest it, since I prefer the taste of red capsicums a lot better.

Fruiting: Wow, still producing!
Surprisingly, the pepper is still producing. Unfortunately, the area is beginning to take over by the chayote plant.

Setting Fruit: Oh la la!

Ripening: Maturing fruits
One semi-mature green capsicum fruit still hangs, balancing itself and taking its time to ripen. I wonder if it’d be red, yellow or orange. Two ripening fruits, both double their sizes of last week. Pic 1 – the semi-mature fruit. Pics 2 and 3 – maturing fruits.
