Fruiting: At least, a meal (day 70)
Weird to use fruiting as an event for a root crop, but I didn’t see anything more fitting. You can see the heads on about 4 of these, proving that if you give them enough time you can grow stuff.

Dying: Bust...
The beets were no match for the deer. Once the deer discovered the garden and ate the tops, that was it. We were able to harvest two beets and dog ate one (on the carpet!). Formanova did very well – produced decent sized, tasty, cylindrical roots which were very attractive as beet pickles. Next year I will plant fewer, though, as they ended up much too close together and that stunted the growth somewhat.
