Packet sez: Sow: Mar – Jun, Harvest: Jul – Oct
Sowing and Growing:
Sow in a propagator on a windowsill or thinly in pots or trays in a greenhouse at approx. 10 – 15C using a good quality compost. Cover seeds with 6mm of sieved compost (Germination 14 – 21 days) . Grow on, planting out when frost risk has passed 23cm apart. Alternatively may be grown on a windowsill in a 10cm pot. Can also been sown thinly direct outside at a depth of 6mm. Grows best in well drained soil in a sunny position. Pinch shoot tips to encourage bushy plants.
Excellent for salads, pizza, pasta and tomato dishes.
