Basil 'Bush' Seeds
Ocimum basilicum

Sow: Mar – Jun Harvest: Jul – Oct

Sow in a propagator on a windowsill or thinly in pots or trays in a greenhouse at approx. 10 – 15C using a good quality compost. Germination should take around 14 – 21 days. Grow on, planting out when frost risk has passed. Can also be sown directly outside or windowsill grow in 10cm pots. Thin to leave 15cm between plants. Grows best in well drained soil in a sunny position. Pinch shoot tips to encourage bushy plants.
